Dr. Caroline Cakebread
Co-CEO & Co-Founder
Before founding the Canadian Leadership Congress, Caroline spent 17 years producing and hosting Canada's top pension events. As a pension expert, she has consulted with Canada’s top pension boards to enhance management‑trustee conversations and improve communication on complex topics such as pension risk and liability‑driven investing. She recently authored a paper on pension governance with Hugh O'Reilly and Louise Greig for the CD Howe Institute and she is the author of the book, Back From the Brink: Lessons from the Canadian ABCP Crisis (2016). She has a PhD in English from the Shakespeare Institute, University of Birmingham, and continues to lecture and publish on Shakespeare and contemporary culture.

Joanne Boccia
Co-CEO & Co-Founder
Joanne co‑founded the Canadian Leadership Congress with Caroline and brings a wealth of experience to the brand. She has worked in the conference and event industry for close to 20 years, managing corporate marketing functions which includes product launch, brand management, advertising collateral, sports and media campaign events. Joanne has forged strong relationships with Canada’s top pension investors through a series of exclusive and innovative conferences. She creates winning events that people want to return to again and again. Plus, Joanne’s network of hotels and suppliers around the world allows her to create unique experiences you won’t find anywhere else.

Andrea Waddell
Marketing Manager
Andrea discovered her passion for events over ten years ago. She has worked in both non‑profit and corporate B2B industries, and understands the pivotal role events play in encouraging and fostering thought leadership.
Andrea delivers a wealth of knowledge in executing results driven marketing strategies, and managing exclusive business relationships.
She has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Women’s Studies from Western University and a Postgraduate diploma from Humber College in Fundraising and Volunteer Management.

James Mitchell
Chief Financial Officer
James brings more than 25 years of managing marketing and event driven companies and organizations. For the last eight years, James has been a partner in Cakebread Inc. where he plays a key role as strategist and project director on some of the companies most demanding projects; from the development of a stakeholder engagement framework for the FCAC Financial Literacy Leader to strategic work for the Ontario Securities Commission and its Investor Education Fund. Prior to joining Cakebread Inc., he led and worked on some of Canada’s most innovative and timely social initiatives, ranging from clean air and aboriginal rights, to respiratory health and the growth of asthma. With the launching of the Canadian Leadership Congress, James takes on the role of general manager with responsibility for financial and back‑office oversight and management.

Marketing & Design
A graduate of the Graphic Design program at Fanshawe College in London Ontario, Dennis uses his strong understanding of design principles and creative energy to help his client's businesses get noticed. Over the years, Dennis has helped hundreds of organizations develop and maintain their brand, through strong functional design, strategic marketing campaigns, and other creative advertising and marketing solutions.
